Do I have to enroll in a bodyguard school to work in
association with the Protection Services Unlimited?
NO! AND YES!! This, of course, is not an answer,
but there is material and information you must
know if you are to be considered for a position
with this company.
We've learned that you already think you are a
bodyguard or security professional or you would
not have applied. We know this; and we base it
on your decision to become part of the bodyguard
profession. We also realize that no matter how much
you know or how much experience you already have, there is still much more to learn. MUCH, MUCH MORE. Remember you will become part of a profession in which important individuals will put the care of their lives in your hands. You need to continually learn if you are to keep YOUR CLIENT AND YOURSELF SAFE. Before you spent thousands of dollars on bodyguard schools it is important to discover if someone wants to hire you - perhaps even as an Apprentice. If you want training, the time to do it is after you are working and know what is required.
THERE IS NO REASON TO SPEND THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS GOING TO A BODYGUARD SCHOOL IF IT DOES NOT TEACH WHAT YOU NEED.
SUGGESTION & READ CAREFULLY
We have a definite responsibility to applicants; THE IBN IS RESPONSIBLE FOR MARKETING YOU FOR EMPLOYMENT . They do not take this lightly. On the other hand: You have a responsibility to them, KEEP THE JOB AFTER YOU HAVE IT. They offer a way to change your life to something with real meaning - a career in which you can make a difference.
This training is vital and needed no matter how much experience or training an applicant has.
PROTECTION SERVICES UNLIMITED pays for the training because it is so valuable. The training program teaches material you won't find in books or taught at bodyguard training facilities.
This information is necessary for any bodyguard, even experienced ones. You must be able to keep the job or a company cannot afford to work with you. Among other things you must learn what a client expects of you. He is paying you a large fee for protection and if you don't gain his trust within the first few days your relationship will be over. You must be able to demonstrate your professional bodyguard skills that you have learned with your training.
You'll need to know the laws concerned with protecting the client in different US states and various countries. This means the weapon laws, and how to obtain a weapon in any location in the world. To make it more difficult you must know how to fit in and work with other bodyguards and bodyguard teams.
If you don't know the simple things that all bodyguards are expected to know you'll be considered the most dangerous thing in the business.(You don't want to make a fool of yourself because you don't know the simple things experienced bodyguards take for granted).
IF A BODYGUARD GETS INTO A PHYSICAL CONFRONTATION OR CATCHES A BULLET FOR HIS CLIENT AND GOES DOWN, WHAT HAPPENS TO THE CLIENT WHO MAY BE SURROUNDED BY ASSASSINS? THAT CLIENT IS NO LONGER PROTECTED AND YOU HAVE NOT DONE YOUR JOB. YOU MUST GET YOUR CLIENT OUT OF HARMS WAY, THAT IS YOUR #1 PRIORITY.
Do you need training?
There are many "qualified" individuals who at first respond with: "NO. Of course I don't need training, I'm a former member of the Special Forces. I'm a qualified expert with weapons. I was a martial arts instructor in the US Marines and I paid a $4000 fee to attend an elite bodyguard school? Why should I need training?
And this is a valid question.
When you are working for any client the amount of training you have is almost as important as how much experience you have. The amount of training or the intensity of your experience can make a large difference in how much you are paid. With the proper training/experience we can assist in locating employment in "HIGH RISK" countries. In these volatile, dangerous countries like Iraq or Afghanistan you need all the knowledge you can get just to keep yourself alive. The skills that keep you alive are also the ones that make you worth the $200,000 annual salary you can earn.
I'm a beginner, do I need training?
Do you want to keep your client safe? You will be working in a dangerous profession. The answer to these vital questions are clear, and leads to another question. How do I find training? Any school that trains you with the necessary skills to work in your chosen profession can be valuable. There are many good bodyguard schools with reasonable enrollment fees. There are many more that sound just like the good ones but are conducted by scam artists and you can pay a high tuition and not learn a thing. It is hard to get into a good school and to locate a protection position. You can do all this intensive training and research which is very difficult and time consuming. The only other option is to locate a company that will work with apprentices. This is the best choice if you can locate the company.
THIS IS ANOTHER REASON YOU SHOULD PUT YOUR TRUST IN A COMPANY LIKE PROTECTION SERVICES UNLIMITED IN TENNESSEE. THEY KNOW WHICH ARE THE GOOD SCHOOLS AND HOW TO STEER YOU AWAY FROM THE SCAM ARTISTS.
There are companies that offer "Personal Security Detail Training" or level one and level two training. These companies charge over $6000 for a training program and the skills that can land you a position in Iraq, Afghanistan or other similar countries the pay up to $200,000 annually. After paying your tuition you also have to pay for transportation such as airline fair, lodging, food, and other expenses. There has been many students that have used their entire savings account for training and a "guaranteed" job and then not have enough money to get home.
THEY NOT ONLY PROMISE THIS - THEY GUARANTEE THIS. THEY CONDUCT MOST OF THEIR CLOSE PROTECTION TRAINING IN OTHER PARTS OF THE COUNTRY OR OUTSIDE THE US. THESE COMPANY'S ENROLLMENT FEE IS MORE PER HOUR THAN YOU WOULD PAY HARVARD UNIVERSITY, AND THEY DO NOT EVEN ISSUE YOU A CERTIFICATE OR LICENSE.
The small amount you pay Protection Services Unlimited can be considered as a small fee to guarantee you are protected against the many scam artists that are ready to take advantage of you.
